Overcoming a spirit of witchcraft

I over came a spirit of witchcraft this week I got in church.

In 1993 I began attending small community church near the town where I now live.  At the time I wasn’t going to church anywhere and hadn’t been for some time and I believe God wanted me to go there. By 1994 I was given two tapes by someone who also went to that church.  Those two tapes were “He Rose Again” and “The Gospel is Always a Blessing” by Doyle Davidson. After listening to those two tapes I came in contact with another man who had already received those tapes and shared with me some of the same things that were said on those tapes.  He and his dad had been listening to Doyle since 1991 when (I believe) Doyle first went on TV in Tulsa.

Sometime after that Doyle began holding “Gospel Crusade” meetings in Tulsa once a month.  There were a group of us (approximately 6 men including myself) from that church that would go to those meetings.  We (and others) would also meet on Thursday evenings once a week for a “men’s meeting.”

All of these men were familiar with I Corinthians 15:3-4.  The gospel is that Jesus died for our sins, was buried, and rose again the third day.  No one believed it.  No one believed that the gospel was the power of God unto salvation.  Those meetings were a place for everyone to share about how much they didn’t believe.  We would share about the wickedness of our hearts and say ‘well this is probably unbelief but…”  A phrase I heard often was “endeavoring to believe the gospel”.  Of the men that went to Tulsa I’m the only one left.  That’s the grace of God in my life.

Consider this.  Jesus’ soul was made a sin offering.  Jehovah laid on him the iniquity of us all.  That includes unbelief.  He saw the travail (pain) of his soul and was satisfied.  Our sin was laid upon Jesus’ soul and his soul was pained.  He was laid in the lowest pit of hell with the unbelief of the whole world on his soul.  Now consider this.  His spirit never considered the pain of his soul.  He never considered our unbelief.  He knew in his spirit that God would deliver him if he worshipped him.  He knew that God would inhabit his praise.  He knew that God would raise him up out of hell and his soul would be purified from our sin.  His body would be put back together.  All his bones would be put back in joint.  He would prosper in his hand.  He would prosper and be in health even as his soul prospered.  God would divide him a portion with the great (make him Lord) and he would divide the spoil with the strong (true worshippers).  By his knowledge (how to get out of hell and overcome the things in your soul) he shall justify many.   Consider the strength of his spirit.  Consider what Jesus did for you.  Consider how he did it.  Consider his spirit is joined with your spirit.

There is a generation that will praise him.  Praise ye the Lord.

Repent and believe the gospel!

God Bless You

Anthony
