“Let the lying lips be put to silence; which speak grievous things proudly and contemptuously against the righteous.”

1 Chronicles 16:22 says “Saying, Touch not mine anointed, and do my prophets no harm

Luke 10:16 says “He that heareth you heareth me; and he that despiseth you despiseth me; and he that despiseth me despiseth him that sent me

To lie is to speak grievous (causing severe pain, suffering or sorrow) things proudly and contemptuously (expressing the act of despising) against the righteous.  To lie against a prophet would be doing that prophet harm.  To lie against a prophet would be to lie against Jesus, and to lie against Jesus would be to lie against the Father.

Repent and believe the gospel!

God Bless You
