The Lord Is My Shepherd

Yesterday morning the Lord did something for me that I would like to share. I had just woken up and was gathering my things to get ready for the morning. As I was getting these things together the Lord put a prayer in my heart. ( part of ) Psalm 23: The Lord is my shepherd I shall not want He maketh me to lie down in green pastures He restoreth my soul. I was reminded of some things and situations with this prayer, and I was like, well, thank you Lord. So as I got ready I was praying that part continually. As the morning proceeded I got distracted getting some other things together, and was trying to hurry and get started drying my hair, that I hadn’t realized that I had quit praying that. As I went to grab the hairspray to put on a bit before I dried it, I picked up the can and it was pretty much empty. I thought oh great. I was already in a hurry and needing a haircut which really meant I needed some hairspray! Anthony was in the living room and I walked in there and said, “Well, I am out of hairspray.” He asked if I wanted him to go get some quickly and I said no it will be okay. I was just going to do without. I went back to the bathroom to begin drying my hair and immediately it was brought to my remembrance that there was a can in the closet. I quickly went to the closet, opened a bag and there was a half of can of hairspray. I said, “Thank you Jesus.” I knew the Lord had reminded me of that. It was in some things that Anthony and I had from last summer when we were gone out of town . I went and told Anthony that I had half a can of hairspray, and he said well thank God. So happy with my can, I went back to the bathroom and in my heart again came the prayer the Lord had put in my heart that morning. The Lord is my shepherd I shall not want. I was blessed by what had just happened because what I thought I had a need of, the Lord quickly provided and my want taken care of. I appreciated what the Lord had done for me. Praise God!
