This summer Anthony and I had the opportunity to go to Plano. I thank God
for his grace that he has allowed these opportunities for us. In times past we
have driven, this time however we were going to fly. The flight down there went
fairly well. Now it was time to get back home. We arrived at the airport at a
decent time to get our things together and board; however, when we got there,
there was a huge line going all down the sidewalk outside of the checking in
area. We had never flown out of this airport so we weren’t sure if this was
normal. We got in line and there were some people in front of us that seemed
bothered by the line. One of the ladies went in and came back and told the group
she was with that it was just as long of a line on the inside. I finally asked
them if this is normal. They said, “NO, it was usually never like this.” We
waited and waited in that line, and it was getting very close to the time we
were to be boarding. Anthony soon began binding jezebel. When he began to do
that the line started inching up. As he continued we finally made it to the
check in counter. We got our things checked in and quickly headed to our gate.
On the other hand I was getting attacked physically and realizing I am getting
sick and need a bathroom QUICK! I told Anthony, although I didn’t share with him
what was happening, I just said I need to go to the bathroom. He looked at me
like this is not the time. Finally he said to hurry. I quickly went to the
bathroom right beside the place we were to board. When I walked to the hallway
area there was a huge line that extended out. I began to pray, it seemed like
more resistance. I had to leave that area and go a good little ways from where
we were to board at. I finally made it to a restroom; however, Anthony again did
not know what the deal was, and now didn’t know where I was. He was able to
reach me on my cell phone and I told him what was happening. He said, “Misty we
are boarding right now!” I was probably really beginning to get all beside
myself (which is not God), when I needed to be ruling my spirit ( as I had been
instructed to learn to do). I quickly made it to the boarding area after a fast
jog. Anthony was not too happy with me, and I was wanting to be mad at him. He
said, “We just need to get a hold of our hearts. The devil is wanting us to turn
on each other.” As we boarded I was considering what was going on and how many
times Terry and Kathy had shared about some of their experiences as they
traveled. We found our seats and continued to pray. We set there waiting for the
plane to finally take off, and nothing was happening. We were officially “stuck
on the tarmac”. On Saturdays, we all meet and join in with the program from
Plano, this being a Saturday, Anthony was needing to be back at a certain time
to open the church. We continued to set on the plane praying and waiting. As I
set there I remembered something Kathy Mai had shared about her and everyone
getting in agreement according to Matthew while they were on their way to
Israel. This was also in Anthony’s heart even though we didn’t say anything
right away. Finally we started talking and it had been in both of our hearts at
that moment. So that is what we did! We agreed that we were getting out of
there! You may think well big deal you were only going to Tulsa. It is a big
deal whenever God teaches you something!! It was more than just getting back to
Tulsa, we both knew we were learning some things. I have a friend who often
says, “God knows how to get the mileage out of things.” I have often found this
to be true.
Well, as soon as we agreed, the plane engine shut off, and an
announcement was made saying how there is weather up north and we would be
delayed 20 – 30 minutes in taking off. That was totally unexpected seeing how we
just agreed that we would get out of there. But I had somewhat come to know that
God would check your heart out and see if you really believe what you say you
do. We thought we don’t care we know it worked once and you can do it for us. It
was only 5 minutes and the plane started back up and they said we are going
ahead. PRAISE GOD!
I cannot say enough about the things people who are
walking in this gospel have shared. I know some may think yeah that was a good
story, but the testimonies I have heard since being a part of this ministery
have and are working in my life. I am often reminded of what God did for someone
and if that is something I need salvation for then that is what I expect to
happen. These are not just one time experiences and then move on. He hath
made his wonderful works to be remembered.(Psalm 111). His works are to be
remembered continually so that they may minister and work for those of us who
will believe.
God showed Anthony and I that day some things about being in
agreement. He has since strengthened that between us, and continues to minister
to me about the importance of walking in the Spirit with your husband.
God Bless You,
